Ahh-Turkey, Turkey, Turkey -When Will They Ever Learn

The idea that Turkey's posture with the west is not so polarized as it is with Israel is possibly not a too fine point to make, that there are non-Islamic countries that would align themselves against Israel for political reasons of keeping the oil running. That being said, to say that Turkey has made inflammatory statements against Israel cannot be overlooked unless one is siding with Turkey in the upcoming realignment in the Middle East on the heels of the upheavals.

But let us turn to a side issue regarding Turkey being involved in ethno-fascism. I would not counter the record of history where the facts are in evidence and how this would apply to Turkey. While Turkey is guilty of various incidents, past and present, labeling them ethno-fascists by anyone who can be called out for the same things is a dangerous miscalculation of intentions. Mussolini made that very mistake, promoting the ideas of the 'fascisti' and exporting it north to some quite disastrous results, not the least of which was the decimation of entire populations. Of that, only one result that might be considered in phoenix fashion is the rebirth of the nation of Israel out of the ashes left behind by the Third Reich.

Turkey is preparing itself for its promised role in the new Middle Eastern politics: let the lesson of the 'Fascisti' be learned well; or be prepared for the results of the lesson never learned.
