Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and his friends fired out the invaders, and after set up of new state its normal to refuse some parts of old regime and this is like this everywhere but there is no big opposition as you say, thats what you want to beleive, Great Seljuk Empires, Local Bey-doms period and rise of Osman Bey-dom and its evolution as a state then an Empire and then Republic of Turkey all continuation of previous states.

Ataturk does not have a flat asiatic head...))) you are really miserable, the population of Turkey is white and in 1930 about 45% immigrants of 1 st generation from Balkans from our lost homeland territory, and that time the fake greeks who are mad about europeans, because they are not, were living around Kayseri, 1000 km east of istanbul, trabzon 1500 km east of istanbul etc.
