What is the point?

There is too much talk about the possible future scenarios with Iran and what Israel may or may not do and what the consequences may or may not be. It is not a good use of time since whatever analysis is made, it will not effect the actions of Israel that will surely be based on sound Israeli intelligence (and hopefully other nations cooperation); nor will it have an impact on whether the US involves herself in any way. We can probably assume that if anything happens during he remainder of the Obama admin, very little to nothing will be done to support Israel. Since that is clear, it's pretty much a non-issue until something more happens.
