Advance knowledge of attacks

I disagree with your supposition that as Iran knows in advance about Israel's intent to attack, they will be prepared. There are plenty of military strategies that take into account no element of surprise. The Iranians can prepare all they want, but the outcome will be determined by whether the Israelis succeed in the implementation of their formulated plans that have already taken all such factors into consideration.

As to whether the US will attack or join in or not, that is not easy to know, and I agree that there was the same chance with Bush in the WH as with Obama. I am still hoping for a clandestine operation that the Israelis are known for (or once were) that will just end this ridiculousness in one fell swoop. I can dream anyway,
