Further Thoughts on Not Intervening in Syria

I absolutely agree that humanitarian aid is all the U.S. or any country should give to these Middle East uprisings no matter which group of Islamic followers is currently running the show, or trying to. We can have honest sympathy for the innocent who are affected by all of the conflicts with one group against another, but the enemies of the current leader have proven themselves no better and no more humane.

Taking sides in any Islamic conflict is equivalent to an attempt to break up a fight between a Cobra and a Western Diamond Back Rattlesnake. Yes, you will get bitten. You just have to decide whose poison you want to die by and how many more of your countrymen will get maimed and perhaps die and have we not learned anything since 9/11? War is deception, remember? It is written into the Code of Islam. It is what it is. You can feed them and give them bandages and help the innocent escape the slaughter but you can never stop it. Dr.Pipes is right. Some things have to implode. I respect our troops,and let us not sacrifice any more of them for the never-ending story.
