Whole Truth-Seriously?Reader comment on item: Further Thoughts on Not Intervening in Syria Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jul 13, 2012 at 18:31 To quote the movie, "I want the truth!" Retort: "you can't handle the truth!" People: the world is full of the reasonings and rationale of an increasingly divergent mentality and various ideologies that have resorted to humanistic aversions to the truth. From a secular perspective that is being promoted by an ever increasing sector of the political realm (read members of the various world agencies that have all but thrown reverence of a loving Almighty God out the door; the U.N. and others come to mind) that take truth and make it fit whatever agenda they can make it serve. Libya is a weak example, but it does serve to point out that the real underlying issue there was fomented at the same time as the others of the 'Arab Uprising' such as Egypt, Tunisia, and Syria to name the more notable few. To link the American Administrative Chief Executive might bring a focus for reasons already disseminated, but it does not stop there. Syria has taken over the spotlight because whereas Libya had little in the global community to defend it, Syria has all the backing al-Assad can muster; and it is formidable. The reason that the American media does not seem to get its act together is legend in the minds of those who control it. Asking them to portray the truth is like asking them to read and interpret the truth of the Holy Bible- not gonna' happen. That's why: not the whole truth! If they had read the Holy Bible and did understand where it would take them, they would be scared to death and try to extricate themselves. But they won't; and they can't.
