Obama is just spouting Sophistry. God preserve us, until he is safely out of officeReader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Mosque Speech on Islam Submitted by Michael S. (United States), Feb 10, 2016 at 09:22 I've been enlightened by Obama. Now I realize that Hitler's followers were, by and large, family men who loved their country; and Ku Klux Klansmen were just "good old boys" who loved their kinsmen and sought to preserve their way of life. Does this mean that we can dust off our jack boots, and bring our Confederate flags out of the closet? How many blacks, whites, Muslims, anyone have been attacked by Nazis lately? Surely a few; but I dare say hardly any when compared with those who have been beaten up and killed by Muslims. Ditto for Klansmen. Are we now to view the Nazis as a "religion of love of country" and "peace"? And have the Obamaites suddenly made an about-face concerning the Stars and Bars? Obama wants us to become tolerant to the point of absurdity, but only in one direction. Is that actually tolerance? It sounds to me, more like intolerance and bigotry -- not to mention, hypocrisy. What we are seeing and hearing, pouring out of the mouths of conscience-dead people like Obama, is a sophistry of convenience: total nonsense, interlaced with nice-sounding words like "church", "Boy Scouts" and "Thomas Jefferson". I did not listen to his speech; but after reading it here, I can see that I missed absolutely nothing of value.
