Islamic polity must not be allowed to hide under the umbrella of a religionReader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Mosque Speech on Islam Submitted by Prashant (United States), Feb 13, 2016 at 21:03 Dear Dr Pipes, Islam makes no differentiation between church and state. Thus, Islamic states get to enjoy the respect that we extend to religions for free. For example, we cannot question the political system of Saudi Arabia because it is also the political system of a religion. As a second example, I can easily question the methods and motives of various socialist/communist fighters around the world but we cannot question the methods and motives of Islamic separatists in any region of the world. This must stop. In no forum of our world, Islamic polity must be allowed to hide under the umbrella of a religion.
