"Obama to Israel -- Time Is Running Out" - Jefre Goldber, "The Atlantic"Reader comment on item: Assessing Obama's Mosque Speech on Islam Submitted by Robert (United States), Mar 24, 2016 at 13:59 Dear Daniel Pipes, I love Obama; I have no doubt that his legacy will be that he's one of our greatest Presidents. However, though is a master of Tactics, he's a bit weak on long term Strategy. Considering his background, a son of a Single mother, and African father, in a former more Racist world, he no doubt must be optimistic as to what he can achieve since the computed statistical probability (assuming that was possible to formulate)) that he would become President of the United States of America must have been low even when he was a Harvard Law Student and an editor of the Harvard Law Review. In that context, why wouldn't he believe that anything is possible? However, in Netanyahu he has met his match both intellectually and as a leader of his nations best interests. Iran is sworn to Iran's destruction, as are Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria, as well as the Palestinians in Gaza under Hamas. "Obama to Israel -- Time Is Running Out" by Jeffrey Goldberg, "The Atlantic." An American President's term in office is constitutionally never more that 8 years. But the unfolding of the Arab Spring is arguably much longer than that, and we are not in a position to foresee its Endgame. We know that the Sunni regimes are supportive of an Israeli Zionist state, while Iran professes its ultimate destruction under its constitutional system run by a Theocratic Ayatollah. And now the European Union is overwhelmed with non-Christian, mostly Muslim, Sunni and Shia, making it drift to the left, especially since it experience of Suicidal Civilian Terror strikes, while Israel is experiencing the Knife Intifada? In that context does the world need another failed Arab and Muslim failed state with Hamas or Abbas at its helm? Perhaps the unfolding scenario will be the State of Gaza, while parts of the West Bank will go to Jordan. And the 1948, 1967, Palestinian refugees will settle in Iraq, Syria, and Europe? Peace is made among equals, not when one side is extremely weak! This is Obama biggest mistake. It is clear to me at least that the "humiliate" but "proud" Palestinian, Arab, Muslims will never ultimately not accept any Peace if it were to be established during their Weakness. And of course, we see what happened when Sharon moved Israel out of Gaza completely. Furthermore, we now see how 30,000 suicidal Muslim population can hold on to territory - ISIS. I expect Obama ultimately to admit that Netanyahu was right regarding the Palestinians, even though Obama was right regarding Iran - that is if the Antisemitic Sayyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei (Persian: سید علی حسینی خامنهای ) drops dead very soon! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_Khamenei#/media/File:SEYYED_ALI_KHAMENEHEI_-_LEADER_OF_IRAN.jpg
