The difference is subtle but extremely important

Dear Dr Pipes,

I am no theologian but I will assume that you reader Lance's statement about Christianity and Islam is correct. Lance says that according to the Christian doctrine God has reserved the punishment for modifying the Bible in His hands. While according to the Islamic doctrine this punishment must be rendered in this world by the people. The difference is subtle but in the former doctrine a is allowed to live with his choices and in the latter the person is not.

Further more while in the former there is no recommended violence to be rendered by human beings on each other, the latter pretty much franchises violence to all people. This little difference my explain why the Christian world is prosperous and happy and Islamic world is not.
