Giving Trump a Second Look

I agree that it is now up to President-elect Trump to prove himself, but I disagree that his "personal flaws" are a cause for worry. I'd like to suggest that the areas in which he still troubles many people aren't quite what they seem. He's not an egomaniac, he's a New Yorker (though even some New Yorkers still don't 'get' him), kind of the way the Sabra stereotype is prickly on the outside and soft on the inside.

Trump is brash on the outside and a little insecure and mushy on the inside.

Also, if one pays careful attention to exactly what he says and thoroughly searches out the surrounding facts, it turns out that he almost never criticizes anyone when it's not deserved; he's not racist or misogynist or anti-Muslim or anything else like that, and neither are his appointees. He does play loose with the truth in a New York way in unimportant areas, I'm hoping that will tone down as he takes on the mantle of the presidency. He has made mistakes and will continue to do so, but fortunately he is always willing to listen to and integrate new information (for example on how to treat women respectfully) - he changes his stance if he learns of a better way of viewing any situation.
