Character is the question

Thanks for this articulate review of the subject, with much of which I generally agree (not so sure about the assessment of DeVos). I admit I tend to be less than optimistic that he is up to the task. I think he will continually, and defiantly give opponents grounds for initiating impeachment proceedings. I'm not sure he even wants to go through four years of constant questioning and criticism by the press and other politicians (much less by the likes of Meryl Streep), as he will surely face. I've never felt so energized about politics; character is absolutely critical and he has a serious deficit.

There will be conservatives who turn against him. He has the lowest approval ratings of any President-elect in memory. A cynic might think the GOP has now got everything it needs and can expect from him, as critical members (Graham, McCain, et al) are already speaking in opposition to his obvious flaws regarding Russia, NATO, etc. They won't go down with him if he starts to fall.
