I think you've accurately surmized what sort of scriptural hubbub is going on here. I believe that Jesus is human and God is God; that Jesus died for my sins and God raised him from the dead. Beyond that, many, many people have many, many fanciful ideas. Let them think what they will. As Paul the Apostle said,

"Knowledge puffs up; but Godly love builds up"

The fact that the gospel is still preached today, is due mainly to the fact that Christians have been loving one another for 2000 years. The fact that there are thousands of denominations, all claiming to exclusively understand the scriptures, is due mainly to the fact that some Christians have gotten puffed up

I don't agree with you about many doctrines; just Jesus Christ, and him crucified. That's enough.

Concerning Biblical prophecies, particularly Ezekiel 38-39, Turkey (Land of Magog) is becoming more and more prominent as a player against Israel. Erdogan (Gog) already controls Idlib (through his jihadist proteges), Al Bab and now Afrin; and he is not disguising the fact that he wants to swallow up Manbij next. In short, he controls much of NW Syria, and is pushing on towared Israel
