However, Netanyahu knew more than we knew. For example the tunnels Hezbollah has made from south Lebanon under the Israeli border, which we now have heard about. Maybe Hezbollah and Hamas have planned this together: Hamas should tempt Israel into a war which would demand many soldiers, and then the Israeli defense on the Northern border would be weaker, so Hezbollah could start its offensive.
