Only Israelis deserve happiness?Reader comment on item: Pushing for an Israeli Victory Is the Only Way to End the Conflict with the Palestinians Submitted by Jeff (United States), Jan 17, 2019 at 22:48 Hi Debanjan, Always a pleasure to hear from a man who chooses to live in the world's largest democracy. But I am afraid you are actually omitting some interesting points that also needs to be resolved. In case of peace with Israelis, Arab countries and Iran do not need any army or Mukhabara, or General Intelligence Directorate, or al-Amn al-'Aam, or Jihaz Al-Mukhabarat Al-Amma or Vezarat-e Ettela'at Jomhuri-ye Eslami-ye Iran. So the Islamic religious authorities should immediately disband the Egyptian, Lebanese, Jordanian. Syrian, Iraqi and Iranian armies and intelligence agencies and any Muslim should be prohibited to have weapons or practice weapons training by religious decree. The remaining Arab and Iranian military infrastructure should be handed over to India. Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Iran would be secular lands whereby anyone be it Muslim, Jew, Christian, Bahai, Zoroastrian, Hindu, Buddhist, etc., can participate and compete in democratic governments. All the above governments would be encouraged to provide quotas for all minorities, religious and ethnic, in all state institutions, roughly equivalent to their percentages of the population. Why limit your great ideas and practical solutions to just one tiny country? Don't other people in the area deserve happiness too?
