Convincing Muslims that peace is better that IslamReader comment on item: Israeli Victory, Palestinian Prosperity Submitted by Prashant (United States), Jul 22, 2021 at 21:41 Dear Dr Pipes: The reader Nicholas asked, "how do we encourage on a practical level for the hatred and rejectionism amongst certain Palestinians to fade away and for peace reconciliation and harmony to dominate instead?". To his question you replied that we needed to convince the Palestinians that the war was over and they had lost. I do not entirely disagree with you but the war against Islamic expansionism has many theaters and (the so called) Palestine is just one of them. Islamic religious doctrine probably talks about peace but actually acts against it. Even the prophet of Islam himself set concrete examples for violence and against peace. I recently wrote a letter about Muhammad's daughter Zainab to your forum (Ref1). The episodes of Zainab's life indicate that Muhammad cared little about peace even with his daughter's family and resorted to wars against them. He was not thoughtful enough to know that some of these wars may kill the father of his own grandchildren. Muslims are following that example. We need to convince Muslims in every theatre of our war against Islamic expansionism that peace is more important than Islam (should they ever be in conflict) and a good peaceful religion would never find itself in conflict with peace. I am citing an article in which Ayan Hirsi Ali also said that a lot of Islamic doctrine, as it is, is in contradiction with peace (Ref2). The vast distance between Islam and peace must be shown to all Muslims repeatedly. Ref1: Ref2:
