Asymmetrical Warfare & AfghanistanReader comment on item: Israeli Victory, Palestinian Prosperity Submitted by Robert (United States), Jan 13, 2022 at 07:23 Regarding "Victory," the question raised implicitly in this context is weather we "Lost" by unilaterally withdrawing while we failed to institute Regime Change or Constitutional Change. The Taliban is back; but Afghanistan is a Failed State, with every country in the UN, and the UN itself, refuse to recognize the "Victorious" Taliban Regime. Your notion of "Victory" requires a Psychological change in the (Political) Mentality of the Palestine. That will likely take Generations, just as Providence required 2 generations (40 Years) when the surviving Slaves were in their 60's (assuming each was 20 years old). Now we are 74 years away from Asymmetrical Warfare & Afghanistan). So by 2028 we will be twice those "required" 40 years; but in our times people are living longer. Will Donald Trump be re-elected and served his 4-more-years by then? Once again, I thing you were correct before you focused on the Palestinians for Victory, and looked at the this Civil War in Palestine and Israel in the "Top-Down" or "Out-In" way. But your Scope was Wrong! At the "Top" are the 125 UN Member Countries which voted for the Permanent UNHRC to investigate Israel throughout Mandatory Palestine except Jordan (former Transjordan). You also mistakenly I believe disparage the Marxist/Communist view that Economics is at play: (1) look how Communist China is has already emerged as the 2nd Power on its way slated or forecast to surpass the USA very soon; and (2) look at the Power of the USA in using its Global Sanctions, Banks, and Dollar-Based Financial International institutions (the Almighty USA Dollar). Look at the Failed States after Arab Spring of what has and is happening; look at all the "friends" and "enemies" of Israel: Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Turkey, ... look at Egypt and the Gulf States in the context of the Abraham Accords. And look at how many more Arab or Muslim Refugees now have emerged, flooding Europe, and making the Palestinian Refugees a MINORITY among these. Accordingly, a better Metaphor than "Victory" is "Peace" - but Peace with the World, not with the Palestinians. In fact, the longer Palestinian remain adversaries or enemies of Israel the greater chance of Israeli Irredentism succeeding over Mandatory Palestine regarding the Political Rights of the Jews. As you know only with (Antisemitic) enemies do Jews survive as a Nation; without Jews Assimilate, or become mere Atheists, Agnostics, Deists, or convert to Christianity, while intermarrying and Disappearing as a People. So let the Palestinians remain enemies of Israel - to keep its Jews on their Toes. "Slowly" the Palestinians will be the last enemies of Jews or Israelis; by then a Greater Israel will emerge, especially in Jerusalem, Samaria and Judea. Time is on the side of Israel, not the Palestinians. In summary, the "Front" for Peace (not Victory) is not where the Palestinians are, but where the 125, of the 193, UN member Countries (or States) are. Or, in your terms, the War Israel faces is that being waged against the 125 Countries that are effectively Anti-Semitic, intent of further Partitioning Mandatory Palestine into a Failed Palestinian State right next to Israel - because Israel is a Euro-American Apartheid Colonialist Regime imposed on the allegedly Canaanite Palestinian Indigenous People, and the Wailing Wall was just the Place where Muhammad "parked" his horse Burak on his ascent to Heaven - the Wall of the 3rd holiest site in Islam, in Jerusalem, after Mecca and Medina. Ironically, it is Muslim Arabs - other than Palestinians - who appear to be the 1st (among the 125) to make Peace with Israel!
