Israel's main problem is its violent neighborsReader comment on item: Israeli Victory, Palestinian Prosperity Submitted by Jeff (United States), Jul 26, 2021 at 00:34 "Israel's main problem is that it was created based upon the Western ideals of modernity and henceforth cannot work." Israel has vibrant, innovative industry, very productive agriculture and a prosperous and healthy population. (I think the greenhouses the Israelis left behind when they gave Gaza back to the Arabs would still be working fine if Arabs hadn't torn them to pieces.) Israel has produced advances in science and medicine. (There's a reason Arabs who shout their hatred of Jews choose to go to Israel for effective and compassionate medical care.) Not to mention actual human rights, an actual independent judiciary and actual freedom. And no dictators. There is one country in the middle east where Ahmadi Muslims can safely live and attend mosques that don't explode while they're in them. What country is that? The one you say cannot work. Israel, through a free election, recently removed its former leader and now has a new prime minister. Any chance of that happening to president Bashir al-Assad? Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud? President Dr. Mahoud Abbas is currently in the 16th year of his 4-year term. Those places are not based on Western ideals of modernity and so are working just fine, right?
