Self inflicted opposition it will beReader comment on item: Western Civilization on Trial: Why We Should Be Watching Geert Wilders Submitted by Paul Wilders (Netherlands), Feb 13, 2010 at 08:27 What not has been mentioned but is a rather common conception amongst 80+ percent from Dutch voters: Mr. Geert Wilders is fully aware there's no way he will manage to join into the upcoming governement coalition. Far too few political parties do even consider to join up with Mr. Wilders. Surprisingly (or not, on second thought), Mr. Wilders is actually not uncomfortable with that knowledge. From his political point of view, he will be far better of standing on the sideline for at least another four years. According to his strategy this would build up even more momentum, opening the door to a massive electoral gain after that. It's a strategy for sure. Question remains if it all works out the way Mr. Wilders figured it out. In my humble view chances are rather low.
