Asma - methinks the lady doth protest too muchReader comment on item: Western Civilization on Trial: Why We Should Be Watching Geert Wilders Submitted by Serendipity (New Zealand), Mar 22, 2010 at 03:56 I think asking for a PH.D. in order to reply to you post is pretty much over the top considering that a third of all muslims in the world are illiterate. One does not need a doctorate to read the Quran, the ahadith, Sira Rasul Allah and the reports of many muslim chroniclers to understand the mindset of Islam. As for your quote, in my Quran published and translated in Saudi the battle field is in brackets. Surah 27:4 but the Arabic version of the verse which sits side by side with the English translation has no brackets! In fact, there are no brackets anywhere in the Arabic original - could you please explain why this is as I understand from your post that you are extremely well educated and therefore know exactly what the Arabic verses say. Why are there so many bracketed inclusions in the English translation and who initiated these?
