Yes, the Left wing does see Jewish Settlers as the "Force" which is the cause of all problems in the world

Obama is nothing more than a 1960's Left wing radical frozen in time who began to thaw out in 2008. He heard the countless stories by his lefty associates about how Israel is guilty of the evils of occupation and stopping the palestinians from achieving their "legitimate" rights to their Palestine

Obama may even have believed that there was actually a nation called Palestine in the past which Jews usurped and conquered in 1948. I am certain that Obama has no historical comprehension of what Israel was or is and what was the Palestine Mandate created by the League of Nations following WW I. His Cairo speech alluded to that ignorance.

So, Obama dusted off his Che/Arafat jacket and intended to "right the wrong" done to the deserving palestinians. I guess since 2008, he may have had a sort of wake up call and began to learn some facts he never heard of from his 1960's book of fairy tales about Israel.

After all, didn't the British Government just announce that Tony Blair had no historical understanding about Iraq and the Middle East when he agreed to join the US in removing Saddam. Blair would be shocked to learn that the Brits were chiefly responsible for making sure Iraq was Sunni controlled rather than Shia, back in the good ole' days when England ran the show ( with France) in the Middle East. Wonder if Blair ever found out about the British use of a crayon to draw national boundary lines for Middle Eastern states.

That is the same type of historical ignorance Obama has. And if Tony Blair can be so uninformed and misinformed than why not a fellow like Obama who really had no comprehension about the the Mandate, Israel and Trans-Jordan except what he learned from his Left wing colleagues in college. which of course was just plain, old fashioned anti-Semitism. And it is true it is difficult to teach an old dog new tricks. So Obama now has "low expectations" due to the whole region not fitting his preconceived mindset of who palestinians are and where Israelis came from.

I think Obama, schooled in his father's hatred of England, would still find it hard to believe that the real Lawrence of Arabia was a Zionist.
