The Nile

As I understand it, the deal whereby Egypt gets to exploit all (essentially) of the Nile waters come from the arrangement struck between the Italian Government and the British Government in 1891. Obviously the British (Lion) imposed a leonine accord on the Italian pussycat. It does not seem at all "natural" that Ethiopia (or Sudan) have to live with such a deal which cuts them off from water flowing through their countries, while Egypt benefits from the Mastery of British dissuation....
