4th Option - Drag Iran further into the Quagmire of Syria

Now that the Russians have entered the picture, Israel should consider taking out Hezbollah in the south of Syria and force Iran to engage itself, in a costly way, expand its resources in defending the regime of Assad.

The main question should be - is it necessary? Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, as Sunnis, are already expanding resources in opposition to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards engaged in Syria.

So, perhaps the stress of war in Syria may bring down the doomsday theocratic regime in Teran.

Here we have the opportunity to implement the Daniel Pipes strategy - whichever side is winning, support the other side. The qustion is - does Israel possess sufficient Birmarkian stragests in its defense establishment and military to defeat Iran in the quagmire of Syria by getting it bogged down there?

Per the USA and its Western allies should now sit back and let the Sunnis and Shia in Syria exhaust each other there?

Let's see how the Europeans will now react with millions of refugees, political dissidents, and immigrants now on their doorsteps?

How is all this affecting the "refugee" status of Palestinians is another question. It seems to me that Israel should make it extremely easy for Palestinians to get visas (going to Jerusalem is to difficult, costly, etc.). But it would be strategically beneficial to Israel if Palestinians inside and outside "Palestine" could travel to Western Europe, Turkey, all the muslim countries, and even Syria. Unless the Palestinian refugee question is substantially resolved, there is little chance that the well-being of Israel will improve on that account alone. So make it easy for Gaza and West Bank Palestinians get there visas (it now costs them $100). Let Palestinans have an opportunity to become citizens of Germany under "Mama" Merkel (replacing the 6,000,000 "Semitic" Jews her Nazi predecessors exterminated in Europe under Nazi Germany).
