Also, those who leave may send remittances back to West Bank and GazaReader comment on item: Achieving Israel Victory with Martin Sherman Submitted by Yoel Natan (United States), May 15, 2017 at 10:46 Often, emigrants to other nations will send back remittances to those who remain, making those who remain in the West Bank (and Gaza) happier to stay, and more reluctant to leave. Whatever money Israel sets aside to convince people to leave will have diminishing returns. Some emigres or their children will most likely regret their leaving, and commit checkbook jihad, probably even sending a portion of the money the Israelis gave them to convince them to leave. Thus, it would behoove Israel to provide only in-kind incentives, like free housing and healthcare in another country for ten years, and such. That way the emigres wouldn't have as much discretionary money to send back to Palestine.
