The Biden admin has ruled out sending MLRS (long range missiles capable of hitting Russia) to Ukraine as that would be "escalatory". You can add that to our refusal to send Polish MIGs. I agree with Sen Graham that we shouldn't let Putin dictate our foreign policy. One could argue that holding back only encourages Putin's aggression and that in itself is escalatory. And is it right that Russia can rain down hell on Ukraine while Ukraine can't retaliate in kind?
I've read the Powell Doctrine, which has been criticized for being an all-or-nothing approach, but I think our Ukraine policy, while not nothing, has been too cautious. We are back to limited warfare and that could be disastrous in the long run.
