Russia is not the enemy, Putin isReader comment on item: Victory – An Obsolete Concept? Submitted by Prashant (India), Sep 17, 2022 at 23:01 Dear Dr Pipes, The path to defeating Putin definitely goes through a Ukrainian victory over Russia. But Ukrainian victory will not be complete until Putin is eliminated. The rogue people and regimes, surprisingly, have very long lives. Because they don't care for things like well-being, liberty, progress, and prosperity of their people, they can survive and resist for a much longer period than their wiser opponents. Putin will, thus, have a long life. For rogue rulers a defeat is just an opportunity to regroup and re-attack. Throughout their history, Muslims regrouped and re-attacked after every defeat that was handed to them. Putin must not attack another nation if and after he is defeated by Ukraine because as soon as he gets a chance, he will order the murder of another unsuspecting Russian at some unlikely place. He must be opposed and criticised every single day and by every person who is talking about a Ukrainian victory. Unequivocal and repeated criticism of Putin will give strength to Russians to question him and throw him out.
