To Shakeel: Pure madrassa stuff IIReader comment on item: Bolstering Moderate Muslims Submitted by Plato (United Arab Emirates), May 25, 2007 at 04:01 Shakeel, your last few lines need a closer look. [Rasool is neither dominated nor killed by his opponents. The reason is that God has a promise with Rasool that He will surely help Rasool and his fellows and punish their opponents. The falsehood of Musalyma is that he was killed and dominated by Muslims. This is why, we Muslims say, Jesus, a Rasool, was neither killed nor crucified because God has a special promise with Rasool. And this was the crystal-clear sign, Muhammad (sws) has proclaimed it to everyone, people of Arabia had seen that Muhammad (sws) can neither be killed nor be dominated and his opponents must be humiliated.] Mohammed himself proclaims through the Koran (which he claims is being revealed to him by Allah) that the CRYSTAL CLEAR sign of his prophethood is that he can neither be killed and his opponents will be humiliated. If you believe that you will believe anything. And I have pointed out before, he was both humiliated and died of poisoning in his lifetime. [In his life in Makah, he told them the stories of Noah, the Lot, the Saleah, the Shoaib, the Hud …, he said, O people, the same thing would happen to you, I am a straight Warner and has a good news for you] He told recycled stories from the Bible and Jewish scriptures about floods, destruction of cities, earthquakes to frighten the naive, superstitious and illiterate townspeople of Mecca. It seems they were not very impressed with the Rasool's warnings and threats. He got only a handful of followers. But when he descended on them armed to the teeth, the "truth" of what he had been warning them suddenly dawned on them and they converted 'in droves' as the Koran puts it!! [FYI: In Quran, Muhammad (sws) has been called Nazir-Warner and Bashir-Giver of glad-tidings a number of times] The Koran calls Mohammed the warner, the bringer of good-tidings and etc. The Koran was recited by Mohammed, claiming Gabriel whispered it to him. I write a book, which I say is a copy of what Gabrie showed me, and which says I am the law-giver, I have good news about salvation, will you believe it and if not why not? Who saw Gabriel speaking to Mohammed? Have you ever wondered about such questions or has your mind been completely sapped of any such capability by the repetitive drumming of madrassa theology. It is not only sickening but sad to realise what religious education has done to a billion and more people. A billion and more people deprived of the ability to think logically and analytically. Imagine if that number can be taught to think normally, instead of dragging the world into the abyss of terrorism they would be an engine for progress and growth. This is a special promise with Rasool.] Did this special promise with Rasool also involve an excruciatingly painful death? Here is a description of his death throes: '.....The headache has started. The Prophet (S) cannot sleep at night. He feels the steps of death approaching and sees the black clouds gathering on thc horizon with alarming speed It is midnight and the stillness is dreadful. The sorrow and distress that could never disturb his energetic soul during a life full of hazards and risks, has overcome his spirit......His headache became severe and the illness and pain tormented him, so he went to 'Ayesha's apartment; 'Ayesha too was suffering from headache and was groaning, "O my head, O my head." The Prophet (S), who used to spend his moments of anguish outside the house, and entered the house only with a bright face and radiant smile, responded to 'Ayesha's lamentation, saying: "Not yours but my head, O head." .....The Prophet (S) entered 'Ayesha's house with his head bound in a cloth, his arms were supported by 'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib and 'Ali ibn Abu Talib, and his feet dragged on the floor. The pain had become severe and his body was burning with fever......He stopped speaking. The intensity of the fever was increasing every minute. The little comfort he managed to wrest away from the fever after splashing cold water over his fevered limbs and had helped him to arrive at the mosque had disappeared, and the illness was aggravated. He felt exhausted. The people could see that he was trying hard to speak to them again, but in vain. He writhed in pain and was unable to suppress his agony..... ' (http://www.shariati.net/mohamad/mohamad2.html) Questions: Why did Allah's favourite Rasool have to die an agonising death? Why was the Rasool overcome with sorrow and distress and dispirited at the prospect of death if Paradise and Allah were waiting to receive him?? [Surely, those that oppose God and his Rasool, shall be humiliated. God has decreed, "I will surely triumph – I and My Rasool". Powerful is God and Mighty (Quran 58:20-21)
