Respected Sir, you have missed the points about General Musharaf`s act upon the advice of his ISI to target their own "Red-mosque".
1. Point was to cool down United States` anger that Islamabad is doing not enough to fight against terrorism. It was just a drama that U.S. hawks should trust in General Musharaf.
2. This was, again, an trial to milk, more, President Bush and deceive him to get more money, as they are in dire need of money to finance their Special Trained Gorrillas (Talibans) to bleed infidels in Afghanistan.
3. It was an act to divert the attention of Pakistani Public Opinion and International community from the struggle of Choudhry Iftikhar Hussain, SJ of Pakistan....who is getting sleepless, to acheive the civil rights of Pakistani people.
4. It was also to divert the attention of International community from the rain-flood devastations in Balochistan and Sindh.
5. Lal-masjid drama was to engage United States in Pakistan and to divert their attention from the problems of Iran. It was a successive strategy to satisfy China.
6. The last and not the least, Pakistani Military inaugurated the foundation stone of establishing "Taliban Government" in Pakistan, in future, by destroying the Red Mosque. As the present military government not wish to go back in their barracks and garrissons, they strengthen the card of Talibans in Pakistan to make them popular and acceptable in the eyes of common Pakistanis and then in the name of Allah, in the name of Sharia law and Talibans as their means, to rule over Pakistan.
Conclusion: Pakistani economy can`t afford the huge expenditures of her military. To feed and satisfy the endless requirements of a huge military, you must kill the citizens. How long? If you decrease the number & strength of the Army, you can`t hold Pakistan to-gether.
It`s better to divide Pakistan.

US should cut all the aid to Pakistan . No more cutting edge Military Technology. Pakistan is using Western Fears of Islamism to get more aid and funds for Islamist State of Pakistan.
