... I waz starting to wonder if everything's OK.
All good. I've been busy in 'real' - and doing my bit online to disrupt show islam up for the absurd pseudo religious arab-centric supremacist political movement that it is.

I hadn't made up my mind about whom to vote for in our upcoming Presidential election. I've opted for Donald Trump, giving me a 50:50 chance of being a sexist, xenophobic, islamophobic basket of "deplorables".

Perhaps we could set up a website for all non-Americans - giving those who are not as lucky as to live in the Land of the Free, the chance to give a non-binding vote for their favourite US candidate. We should get a right to do so - as we've been through more than a year of watching the circus - and are as informed as any US voter on the issues and candidates.

Who knows - if done right, such a website could even influence how some Americans would vote - if they see 'aliens' are voting one way. And there'd be nothing that any US agency could do about it. Hmmm, except offer me a whole lot of cash to take it down?? ;- }

Coming from her, I suppose I ought to take it as an honor (knowing that she doesn't know how to tell the truth).
Oh, she's odious, such a BS artist. It's amazing how much ego she has. Trump does in his own way too but he's had a lifetime of dealing with the real world and real people and despite his wealth does not come across as super entitled who works behind the scenes to get what he wants. Trump would be like a breath of fresh air. Pence and others would point out to him how wacky his really wacky ideas were - but some things that need doing would get done.

I miss our discussions and speculations about the cosmos, etc. Most of my friends here are practical sorts, interested in things like picking peaches, mowing lawns and making a living -- not much time for contemplating the Big Bang.

I admire people looking after their lives and putting effort into them - but they should never lose sight of the big picture. I have a friend , a bright guy with a PhD who completely shuts down when the conversation goes to the quantum world, consciousness, meaning, existence etc etc. Preferring to live wrapped in his blanket of illusions I fear.

...As for the Middle East and the Islamic World, it's hard to get awfully excited at the moment. To be sure, there are lots of EVENTS happening -- a car bomb here, a beheading there -- but that stuff loses its savor after a while.
Horror of horrors - it's having the effect of turning people against islam - and thereby losing their chance of salvation - according to a short speech on television by a fat little welfare dependent lebanese spokesman for a local sheik here.
