I am puzzled by certain things
Reader comment on item: I Taught NATO to Stand Up to a Dictator

I don't understand why NATO PA asked MEF to hold this event.
Why didn't NATO PA hold the event itself? I find it very strange for NATO to have MEF hold it.
Does MEF have some special standing with NATO? If so, what?
Second, why did not MEF invite others who dissent from the Turkish line, such as Armenians (including those from Turkey), Kurds, and Assyrians?
And why the special concentration on a Turkish dissident by MEF on Turkey at this event?
Believe me, I am not defending Turkey one iota.

NATO PA holds such events with other institutions all the time. Just the day before it had an event with the Foreign Policy Research Institute. We did not invite representatives of the Armenians, Kurds, and Assyrians, or others, because we were not focused on Turkey through the day.
