NATO is desperate to keep Turkey in the alliance and fears stronger ties between Turkey and Russia. They should wake up and realize that the alliance is weaker with Turkey's membership, which is a rotten apple. They should rather try to bring Russia into the alliance to fight the common enemy of the western civilization.
