Civilizationalist parties

Thank you, Dr. Pipes, civilizationalist is the perfect description for Europe's new parties. I had occasionally tried to come up with a fair one-word description but could never find the right word.

Much easier to know what not to call them: far right. The term "far right" has been overused as an all-purpose insult to a degree that has rendered the term utterly meaningless. I used to take it seriously. Now, I see the term "far right" in a news report and my eyelids get heavy. Anyone who refers to Mohammed while neglecting to include the words "the prophet" in front is now officially far right.

Yes, under the circumstances, civilizationalist parties' virtues outweigh their shortcomings. I just hope their arrival on the scene isn't too late.
