Left Versus West Dilemma - Why the Left is Wrong but Civilization Cannot Prove it.Reader comment on item: The Rise of Western Civilizationism Submitted by M Tovey (United States), Apr 25, 2018 at 13:59 There now seems to be a shifting set of sentiments regarding how the western societies might survive what appears to be the mounting aversion to democratically based political power sources and governmental bureaucratic authoritarianism, tending now towards centralized governmental control, vis a vis totalitarianism operating through the designated apparatchiks of political power. Quench the dissent; rule with a rod of iron. Strangely, in this neo-political age of pushing back on American values of its former time of republican forms of government, it is all too easy to see how the rule of law is no longer enforced with a strong determinative of moral integrity; and the reinforcement of moral values are no longer observed either as governmental controls are considered subjective. There is no more respect for the rule of law; western societies find themselves attempting to reinvent themselves since they reject the former moral code. The clash of societies now seen raging globally signals something too few are recognizing. Peace is no longer sought; so what will be the result: class? class? Neither left and right have it right and neither side will be able to press towards a civilized conclusion- so war will be the next determinant. Who is ready for that? Anyone; anyone? There is no respect for the absolutes anymore. That's why the left is wrong: but the west cannot argue the truth anymore either.
