The Unholy Alliance

I hope Daniel Pipes is right and the Hungarian result will be the shape of things to come. The sooner the better.However, what worries me is the unwritten alliance between the political left and Islamic groups. Whenever there is a terrorist incident, there is little condemnation from the left, only excuses for the perpetrators and blaming Israel and the US. The only thing the left and Islam have in common is their hatred of Western Civilisation and Christianity, hence this unwritten alliance between these two groups, in order to prevent civilisationist parties from coming to power.
In the past, alliances between leftist forces and Islam have not ended well for the left. Think of the events in Iran following the fall of the Pahlavi Regime in 1979. The Islamic clergy ruthlessly turned on their leftist allies, such as the Tudeh (Communist) Party and the Mojahedin-e Khalq. Many being executed, imprisoned or driven into exile.
