Message of Ilhan OmarReader comment on item: Hungary: Not "Submitting to Islam" Submitted by Prashant, Feb 12, 2019 at 00:25 Dear Dr Pipes, Your readers might have seen the news that our dear Congresswoman Ilhan Omar recently went into a diatribe against Israel and US supporters of Israel. She suggested that US supporters of Israel were motivated by money and not principle. Before it is too late, I want to inform Ms Omar that I admire Israel for my principles and I have never received any money for my support of Israel. I also want to tell Ilham Omar that any time I see a 'Made in Israel' packet of tea biscuits, I do not let the opportunity of buying it go past me. This is because I want to help the Israeli economy.. I do not want to offend Ms Omar but I do want to tell her that if they make biscuits in (the so called) Palestine. I wont buy any because I do not trust Palestinian leaders' democratic credentials. It is entirely based on principles. I value democracy and freedom of speech and I see none of that in the Islamic theocracies. Hence my choice. PS: Since this diatribe of Ms Omar, she was severely rebuked by members of Congress and she has now apologized for her misstatements. Welcome to the civilized society, Ms Omar. Submitting....
