You ...seem to intentionaly twist what I say in an attempt to make me look foolish. If you were interested in genuine dialogue you would conduct yourself in a better manner so this will be my last posting to you. No further reply beyond this to your other posting elsewhere of today regarding interpretation of 5:69 and how what you are saying goes against the teaching of many scholars. You choose the ones that back up your argument without revealing alternate opinions and use your mastery of Arabic to add fake authenticity to your learning and to back up assertions like those re: abrogation, about which you have used a controversial opinion without stating so. Further, I have been told by native Arabic scholars who actually translate the Qur'an that Ali's is the pattern which all other English translations try to match, despite as you say correctly, that he spoke neither language as his first.

You did not even have the decency to answer my question regarding your own mastery of Arabic. What is your motto "Gott straf Islam"? It is the only explanation I can see for your overt hostility and lack of good faith in debate. If I am wrong then so be it, but you comport yourself in such an ugly manner I would be ashamed to be right under such conditions.

What was it I said elsewhere about Adab (correct my spelling please), knowing what a word means is not enough if you do not act upon it.Remember a common word for teacher is one who teaches good manners....
