Barack ObamaReader comment on item: Confirmed: Barack Obama Practiced Islam Submitted by Guy Z (United States), Jun 20, 2008 at 18:55 You say I am poorly vetting and inaccurate on the facts. I don't think so and you do a bit of flagrant twisting of the facts yourself. I read all these books Mister and enjoyed them enormously. I might have been a little fanatical with my not wanting a person who might even faintly been a Muslim at one time, but certainly not inaccurate. For one have you read the Federalist?.... Thomas Jefferson quite clearly states that a democracy will not work unless built upon a Christian Foundation. (and I did not say Catholic, Baptist or any other religous denomination) READ IT, it's there several times... This is why the founding fathers want a president who was born in this country and here is another problem with Mr Obama, he spent 7 years of his childhood in Indonesia and not in the USA. Also I never said and will readily admit that Thomas Paine was very much a secular person, but only in the fact that he did not favor one flavor of Christianity over another and I am in total agreement with Mr Paine on this point. I gaurentee you he would ahore the Muslim systems of government in the world today. What were doing in Iraq will fail if we don't establish Freedom of Religon and go after the Islamic thugs who would try and stop (kill or intimidate) someone from worshiping as they desire. My point is Islam tends to favor a totalitarism system of government pure and simple... My other point is why do I not hear Obama come out and say Jesus is my Lord and savour... (I know that statement must burn you up) It would put a damper on this issue and make me feel better about who he is. But it would not end it. I sure do hear his ex pastor say God Damn America and I think his pastor has every right to say this depending on his views. Its called Freedom of Speech and I might not agree with him, but if it were me, I would stick by my pastor or I would have stopped going to that church a long time before. Its actually bad I think he abandoned his pastor instead of sticking up for him during the campain. Just like we don't want a president who did drugs even if he is clean now, I sure as heck don't want a former Muslim as President. I know lots of Muslims and they are really good people, but not people I would want as president because they have not been grounded with believing in our system of government and our way of life...That way is thinking freely without the fear of being sent to jail or being executed. Most systems of government in Muslim countries have this law. If a bad word is said against Mohamud its off to death row. Even in the west, you bring these fanatics out of the woodwork even with a cartoon in a free press newpaper. You can curse Jesus upside down and sideways and nobody is going to hurt a hair on your head. In fact you would have people praying for you cause thats what Christianity teaches. Love your enemy and treat others as you would want to be treated yourself. Mohamud did things by the sword and Jesus did things through living through example. Case in point, look at Pakistan and how many Christians and even Muslims who complained about Islam and you're off to death row, and its one of the few Isamic democracies in the world. Is this the type government you want. I sure don't. We need someone in as president who would push the button if required and would want what a majority of red blooded Americans want, LIVE FREE OR DIE and to have otherwise is bad medicine for this country. The upcoming election trail will be very interesting and I think will bring out the good and bad of both candidates. As for me I will fight for my right to be free as we have been in this Country for the past 225 or so years and yes my friend whether you like it or not the USA is a Christian country by majority for all these years. Always has been and God willing always will be thank you.... PS Are you a Muslim or an Athiest. You got me wondering. Truly respect ya either way, as long as you are not a authoritarian and say I must submit to your form of religon (and yes Atheism is a form of religon) Religion is the belief of where we came from. As for me, Jesus is the answer my friend. He died for my sins and for yours also and anyone else who will believe.
