"Wishes".

You are one of the more intelligent of the posters on this board. You are well informed and have a certain level of discernment. I'm not sure where you take your illumination and discerment from.

My input is this; we can not let our heartfelt wishes and desires cloud our vision of reality. I wish as you do - for Middle East peace. Do I think it will happen? You have listened to and even had the introspection of a great man of God (Mr. Keyes).

Take a look at where our nation was roughly 250 years ago. The men that made this nation what it became and long was, are long gone. I noticed a long time ago when I was kid glued to the TV broadcasts of the glory of the "American" victory over the axis powers, exactly how our nation has deluded itself. The constant refrain from this gravely voiced man was, "Our guys ...yaddah, yaddah, yaddah". The emphasis was on the "guys" who had pulled out victory from numerous World War II scenarios where the allies didn't have a "prayer". This was a big turning point in the history of our nation. It was not the turning point that the entire world was focusing on.

"Our guys ..." Blah, blah, blah. The miraculous turnaround on many battle fronts has been lost to the awareness of most of mankind. From that point on, American hearts have been gradually more focused on the glorious achievements of man , and in particular, American man. We haven't been able to fight a major war since then to its conclusion. High on our list has become the indulgence of self; going into massive debt to the absolute farthest reaches of imagination to purchase more and more "stuff", toys, mansions, entertainment, early ritirement, and so on. High on THAT list has been the not so subtle buyin of corruption and total abandonment of moral restrictions. "Pornagraphy and every man's right to his own private stash", (as subtly pontificated by Hollywood and TV gurus) is an eluminating phenomenon. Couple that with the vast corruption of corporate and political America. Throw in the thought of benign benevolent thinking towards acceptance of every single human being's own take on what constitutes - "God". Slip in under the door, the gathering storm of homosexual lifestyle being pushed hard by Liberal Democrats and and the obsequious Liberal "news" media.

What does this whole picture paint? What do you suppose God has been doing, thinking, and observing all this time?? In "Biblical times' God sent prophets of every measure and size to warn meticulously and tirelessly of what was going to happen to his people if they didn't turn around and fess up to the horror of their diversions, beliefs, and lifestyles. This is merely a repetition of past histories many times over. The lessons of history have been carefully and exceedingly spelled out in the entire Bible.

I marvel that, In these days God still sends some prophets cloaked as just "the usual meanderings of misguided people who have always predicted 'end times' " for centuries. God's warnings are always "cloaked"in some fashion so as to draw off the merely curious. The Pharisees had no clue to the reality of the Word they had been studying for centuries and, stood right in front of their faces as the entire fulfiilment of the Christ, they so religiously sought.

We see men and women dripping in high fashion, gold and diamond jewelry speaking prophesies and the Word of God. We think we can write them off because, "obviously they are only self indulgent". Don't ever underestimate how God goes about choosing his elect or who his prophets are or how he will throw off the mainstream "religious zealots". If you despise who these people are, still listen. Ignore their open hands asking for donations if that is how God speaks to your heart. I know where my offerings and tithes go because I have always looked to accomplish the most good for every buck I am driven to give for God's glory. Choose where, to whom, and what you will; or opt to just pass on the whole thing and indulge self.

Do you see what I'm saying and to what I'm alluding? Why would God see this terrible mess that we have made of this God given country and grant us a "wishful desire" to see things turn out right in the Middle East or anywhere else? We are told in scripture to, and see many successful appeals to God to "deliver us". It happens. Will it or can it happen again? I think our country and its apparent "bought into God" troops of believers have stretched things about as far as they can.

Prophesy is being fulfilled in a dizzying and acclerating cascade of fulfillment. Only God can stop the freight train of history when it starts speeding towards its prophesied end. The signs are blitzing us almost daily as American institutions and worldwide institutions fail right and left. Governments fall all over themsleves to bail out rampant corruption , and the results are disgusting. Corporate hogs and corrupt politicians trample all over themselves to catch every drop of "bailout" doled out to the disbelief of the taxpayer. It's the most depraved stampede I have ever seen in modern times and all of history.

Get used to it. Depravity is going to take a stronger and stronger hold on this entire planet.

You want God to bail us out again?? Sure, go ahead and pray your heart out, if that's where you believe. I do. But I think things are only going to go at all well for those who have been deep into God's program from the get go. Still time but, it's getting very late. In all of history, Have you ever seen the enormity of what is currently playing out? How about future intelligent and honest thoughts to the immediate future - months and just a very few years. Look at the whole vast picture. Get outside your wishes and take an honest look at what is unraveling.
