Freedom of Israel Promised By Her Eternal Sovereign, from the Time of Moses to TodayReader comment on item: Obama Wins, Muslims Divided Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Dec 15, 2008 at 11:42 The dissertation of the previous post appears to have questions regarding the long debated rivalry amongst the Jewish and Muslim residents of the Middle East in general, and specifically in Israel. They come in the context of the religious aspects of what will transpire in the region, indeed with the world not merely watching, but as being participants as the drama unfolds. If we are to take a position that these questions are posed as being more than rhetorical, there are answers, though maybe not the answers looked for by the previous reader, or other of like-minded ideological perspectives. Indeed, the world seeks resolution to these issues on a moment-by-moment basis; however the circumstances are frustrated by unwillingness of interested parties to come to some basic terms. Take for example the recent comments of Ahmed Qurei, the ‘Palestinian' negotiating team leader, which seem contradictory to the efforts necessary to settle the issues facing the Jewish and Muslim residents of Israel and the ‘Palestinian' territories. What he has spoken is token of so many others who continue to take offense to the Israeli presence in their own land without really understanding why. Now, while it is understood that the previous post was addressed to Mr. Moses, we shall take that as a lead to answer why so many do not want to recognize that the land occupied by ‘Palestinians' is Israeli land. Moses of the Hebrew nation, under direct supervision of the Almighty God that took the people Israel out of Egypt, brought them to the borders of the land promised to them by that same Almighty God to Abraham. Many will say then the promise was to Ishmael, but this in contradiction to the Holy Bible, since Ishmael was born in servitude to an Egyptian bondwoman, while Isaac was born free to the promise made to Abraham's wife Sarah. This is the seed and basis of the contention between the peoples of the Middle East and Israel today. Islam exists today for the peoples of the Middle East because the witness of the Gospels of Jesus Christ had been diluted for the cause of unbelief, fomented in part to take advantage of the contradictory teachings of the Judaic Diaspora and the Romanized Catholic Church, which had allowed religious sedition into its realm. This becomes a further basis to underscore the contentions we see unfolding in the Middle East today. All of this is indeed, repetitions to the arguments on either side of the issue, but all of it is central to what we see happening in the world and Middle East today. Further, we can reiterate the question, of why in fact, Islam did not conquer the entire world, nor why neither did Christianity? The answer is simple. First we can answer that Jesus Christ did not command for Christianity to conquer the world, but to witness His Gospel to all the nations in preparation for His establishment of the Kingdom of God when He returned. That witness is coming on two thousand years and is reaching its greatest saturation. Islam is positioned to contravene that witness, hence the debate of the circumstance and sequencing of the appearance of the al-Madhi, the anti-Christ, and the return of the true HaMashiach, Yeshua, Jesus Christ to take His throne in Jerusalem. From the time of the first movements of Islam, to the crusader invasion of Jerusalem, to the Muslim caliphates holding Jerusalem until Allenby's release, to the reinstatement of Israel in their ancient homeland to this very moment, all things have been done in completion of the Holy Bible as its prophecies have come true, and are being fulfilled in this very moment. All of history has brought all of humanity to this time, to see that after all is said and done, the LORD Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has spoken and His will is being done, and we see it being completed in Israel. The LORD is Israel's hope. He has established her for His purposes, and shortly, the world will see, in spite of all of the world's attempts to frustrate the promises of the Holy Bible, when He says ‘thus says the LORD,' the world will eventually come to recognize, HE IS THE LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and there is none other.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
