Israelites Sealed by 12,000 for Each Tribe to be the Witness of Almighty God to a Rebellious WorldReader comment on item: Obama Wins, Muslims Divided Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Dec 16, 2008 at 17:23 For Masood, and those who are truly seeking the LORD, we are told that in our search for the Biblical truth found throughout history, the Holy Bible is the basis for all Biblical truth, from the first words written in Genesis to the last penned by the Apostle John in the Revelation. All such truth comes from Almighty God, and He it is that provides the verification through His Holy Spirit. It is from Him that this reader derives the truth about Biblical things: these words are not mine, but His. What was provided here from ‘Christian scholars' (which denomination is not specified-that does make a difference in discerning the Biblically supported facts), has some variances from what the Holy Bible provides. The ‘lost tribes' reference does indeed refer to the northern part of the older Israeli kingdom, separated when Rehoboam followed poor advise from unbelieving counselors, and the kingdom was split (First Kings 12:16-19). Judah and Benjamin, part of the house of David remain in the south, and all the rest labeled Israel remained to the north. In their rebellion, the northern tribes started their own temple site and worship, since the main Temple was still in Jerusalem. The Holy Bible tells of their deepening rift from the intentions of Almighty God, causing their part of the kingdom to fall under the Assyrians. During the Assyrian deportation, these ten tribes fell under the influences of the foreign deities, causing their sin to deepen, further forming associations with idolatrous people, ultimately being considered defiled for that activity. When many of those deported were able to come back to what is now Samaria and Galilee, they were considered ‘contaminated,' a condition understood in the Gospels when Jesus spoke of the ‘good' Samaritan giving aide to the injured Judean, this being a shocking thing to the people of that time. Being able to discern a completely intact heritage for the purposes of being part of a Jewish tribe is something left to Almighty God and the ability of the remnant Israeli population to make a distinct connection to that past. Part of what made that possibility come about was the separation from the Gentile that was maintained throughout history. This was reinforced when at various times Jews were required to live apart from the general population, no matter which society they were attached to. The modern use of the place name ‘Palestine' comes from the British appellation during their administration after Allenby's entry in World War One. This was done as a continuation from the various labels from the times of the Romans, who resorted to calling the conquered territories by Roman names in an attempt to erase the Jewish heritage (sound familiar?). Prior to the 1948 re-establishment of the nation of Israel, Israelites were referred to as ‘Palestinians' along with their neighbors of Arabic/Egyptian/Jordanian/Chaldean (and other ethnic) backgrounds. Almighty God knows who are true Israelites, Hebrews, Jews, and even knows to which tribes they belong. It is to them that Deuteronomy, Daniel, Ezekiel, Zechariah and the rest of the Tanach was written, as well as the Brit Hadassah with the Revelation, the new covenant. The people there now are being prepared for the arrival of the Kingdom of God and their HaMashiach, and their sanctification will be true after the prophesied refining process. In the process of repopulating Israel in its Jewish heritage, one can be Biblically sure that the twelve tribes will be fully represented according to their listing in the Revelation, noting that the list there is different than the names of Jacob's sons. There is a reason, one that can be determined from a full reading of the Holy Scripture, something that would require too much space here. Let it be sufficient to say that the Eternal Sovereign of Israel has made His preparations with the full knowledge that the people He has chosen to represent Him in the time of the Revelation. When it arrives, they will be true to Him in every aspect of their lives and devotion to Him. We have HIS WORD on it.
