My commentsReader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by Sk Samsher Ali (India), Aug 11, 2009 at 07:22 Salam, Quote:- Why would Ishaq whose father lived in the days of Mohammed lie about what he heard from him? Reply:- How could you know that He told true story? Quote;- Why would Bukhari who spent his life in checking the authenticity of hadiths lie. Why would Imam Tabari , the earliest muslim mfassir waste his time, Reply:- How could you know that their intention was not to destroy islam? Quote:- why would the world follow tafsirs of Ibn Khatir and Maududi , and Suyuti's asbab e nuzool which are all hadith based. Reply:- Why Christians, Hindus follow their religious scholars? Quote:- Remember quran was compiled many years after Mohammed died from isnads of the same sources who said all the hadiths (neither Jibraeel dropped it in bounded form nor Mohammed compiled or proofread it). Reply:- So what? Quote:- If those sahabas lied about hadiths how are you sure that they did not lie about quranic ayas? Reply:- Very ridiculous! Do you think that as sahabas told that quarinic ayas are true, so you believe on them? Do you think that Quran was preserved by these sahaba and likes of Mr. Bhukary? Please read cover to cover of Qur'an rather than the hadeeth, the story book. God promised in the Quran to protect and preserve the Quran. [15:9] Absolutely, we have revealed the reminder, and, absolutely, we will preserve it. Almighty Allah preserves the Qur'an as Preserved the body of Firaun: [10:92] "Today, we will preserve your body, to set you up as a lesson for future generations." Unfortunately, many people are totally oblivious to our signs. No sahaba, no bhukari preserved the Qur'an. It is Only Allah who preserves the Qur'an. Islam was completed before the death of Muhammad Today, I have completed your religion, perfected My blessing upon you, and I have decreed Submission as the religion for you. (5:3) Prophet Muhammad was the first to write down the Quran revealed to him and when he died , the whole Quran was completely written, although not in one book, but rather on pieces of woods, papers, palm leaves, bones…etc. Your story books tell that it was the first Khalifa, Abu Bakr who collected the Quran into one book. The manuscript on which the Qur'an was collected, remained with Abu Bakr and then with Umar (the second Khalifa), and after him, it remained with Hafsa, 'Umar's daughter and one of the Prophet's wives This copy of the Quran, was the only copy made after Muhammad's own copy. It is from that copy that Uthman, the third Khalifa, made other copies to distribute to different regions of the Islamic Empire. Uthman returned Hafsa's copy of the Quran to her. Her copy however was later burned by Marwan b. Hakam (d.65/684). Quote:- How do you know who Mohammed was? Reply:- That means you known from the hadith book who Mohammed was. Is it not? Sabash beta. Quote: Methods of Haj and Salat are not in quran, you are trusting sources other than quran for it , arent you? Reply:- Almighty God made salat, hajj, zakat etc, the obligatory duties and if we do not observe these, then we will be punished, but He did not mention the methods of observing these rituals. Do you not think that it is impossible? I think so. Almighty Allah says that Qur'an is complete, fully detailed(6:114). All the methods of Islamic rituals are in the Qur'an. Only requires to have an eye to see it and to have a brain to understand it. Quote:- Or you are a non praying type. Reply:- No brother I pray but not like you. Because you follow man-made hadith more than the Qur'an when you pray, which I think is doing shirk with Allah. Quote:- You know when aya says obey Allah and obey messenger, Mohammed is meant by messenger. Similarly the following aya says follow me. Reply:- This is half truth. The full truth is obey Allah and obey messenger means to obey the Qur'an which Prophet Muhammed himself followed. So following him means to follow the Qur'an and not anything else e.g. hadis of Bukhari etc… Here is the proof:- "And an announcement from ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER to the people on the day of the greater pilgrimage that ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER are free from liability to the idolaters; therefore, if you repent, it will be better for you, and if you turn back, then know that you will not weaken Allah; and announce painful punishment to those who disbelieve" (9:3) Now, did the people hear Allah giving this announcement of immunity? The answer is "No!". It was only from the LIPS of His Messenger, Muhammad, that they heard this announcement of immunity. Yet it is supposed to come from both Allah and His Messenger. Or do people think that one announcement came from Allah and ANOTHER came from the Messenger? Allah does not speak to all the people. What He does is that He chooses a human being as His instrument and communicates through that instrument. Who among the companions of the Prophet ever heard any of Allah's commandments from Allah DIRECTLY? NONE! How can they OBEY Allah then? In that case, according to the above mentioned twisted logic all Allah had to do was say "Obey the Messenger" as it is ONLY through the LIPS of the Messenger that they are hearing the Qur'an. The word "Messenger" is derived from the word "Message". A Messenger delivers a Message. To "Obey the Messenger" would thus mean to obey the message he is delivering Quote:- Nowehere quran is referred to as rasool . Why would Allah call his message rasool, he called it quran Reply:- The Quran, in its perfect Arabic tongue, teaches us that the word messenger(rasool) could also be used for the message itself (resalah). The scriptures also fulfill the same exact function of a messenger: delivering, warning, and confirming God's message and scriptures (65:10-11, 11:1-2, 14;1, 27:1-2, 5:46-48). Therefore, our love in the following verse is not to be offered for Muhammad the human, but for the living messenger of God, the Quran: 9:24 Samsher Ali Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
