But this is patently untrue. 1 John 2:18: "Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come" (παιδίον ἔσχατος ὥρα εἰμί καί καθώς ἀκούω ὅτι ἀντίχριστος ἔρχομαι καί νῦν ἀντίχριστος πολύς γίνομαι ὅθεν γινώσκω ὅτι ἔσχατος ὥρα εἰμί). This clearly refers to one individual called "antichrist".

1 John also has a lot to say about deceiving, deceit being a hallmark of the Antichrist (e.g. 1 John 2:22 - "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.").

And by the way, in connection with this, 1 John 1:8-10, taken in conjunction with things that Donald Trump has said, seems to confirm that Trump's deceit goes as far as calling God a liar (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9bUH2cU3IU). And yet 80% of American evangelicals, reportedly, went along with the deceit and helped the guy into the position of greatest power in the world?! Is this what Jesus meant when he said in Matthew 24:24, "false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect"?
