Base won't tolerate betrayal of Israel

Trump's base is evangelical Christianity. That base is more Zionist than the Jews, by and large, and much, much bigger. Trump's reelection and the maintenance of a Republican majority relies heavily on the evangelicals. Trump will not disappoint them.
