Leap of FaithReader comment on item: Enjoy the Jerusalem Embassy – But Don't Get Giddy Submitted by Reynald de Chatillon (United States), May 23, 2018 at 01:45 Nona puts it in a nutshell what I have been trying to say in a number of comments I have made on this forum regarding the reasons why Israel should adopt the single state solution. Daniel Pipes advocates a three state solution (also backed by John Bolton, surprisingly). While this plan is certainly better than the two state solution, in that it bypasses the discredited Palestinian Authority, it requires an enormous leap of faith on the part of Israel. Much depends on Egypt and Jordan remaining stable countries. The Hashemite Kingdom of Iraq appeared to be a stable and prosperous country until the monarchy was overthrown in 1958. The Empire of Iran under the Pahlavi Dynasty also appeared to be stable and prosperous until the dynasty was overthrown in the Iranian Revolution of 1979. There was a population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1923. It involved the relocation of over one million Greeks in Anatolia to Greece and over 350,000 Turks living in Greece to Turkey. The Jewish communities that once lived in Yemen, Morocco, Egypt and Iraq have all been relocated to Israel. Isn't it time there was some movement in the other direction of the Palestinian Muslims. Relocating the Muslim Palestinians can done. I'm sure the IDF have made secret contingency plans for this option, they would certainly be able to implement this in a more efficient manner compared to the rather brutal way in which the Myanmar Army expelled the Rohingya Muslims into Bangladesh. A highly efficient military force like the IDF should be able to disarm the Palestinian Authority's paramilitary forces without bloodshed. Disarming Hamas may be a bit more difficult, though.
