ConfusionReader comment on item: Conservatism's Hidden History Submitted by Michael S (United States), Oct 9, 2018 at 00:20 Hi, DNM The link just pointed to the peshitta.org page, not to any particular passages. This business is over my head, especially trying to decipher Syriac, not to mention Arabic. I've studied Vietnamese, German, Latin and smatterings of Hebrew, Spanish, French and Russian, and forgotten nearly all of them. Then my grandchildren started coming over, speaking Mandarin and Teochew. Now you confront me with Greek, Arabic and Syriac. It's a bit much for a 70-year-old dog who never learned many tricks in the first place. I appreciate your good intentions. I started studying the word "echad", so I could give intelligent answers to Trinitarians. It would be nice, if I had something definitive to present them, just to walk the extra mile for them. By the way, approximately where are you located? You seem to have quite a history with Muslims. While we are toying with the words "Conservative" and "Liberal", I note that religiously "Conservative" Jews tend to be politically very liberal, and religiously "Orthodox" tend to be more politically "Conservative". Most Orthodox Jews don't even seem to accept Conservatives and Reformed Jews as real Jews, unless trying to score a point against Christians. Muslim "Fundamentalists", moreover, have nothing in common with Christian "Fundamentalists". It all seems like a great conspiracy to confuse people. God bless and keep you.
