This is Mr. Pipes at his best: identifying the relevant facts and building an impeccable argument. It also enables a distinction between moderate Arab regimes (like the Jordanian regime) and extremist Arab regimes: the moderate regimes lie moderately and the extremist regimes carry mendacity to extremes..
