Midianites.Reader comment on item: Jerusalem, Jordan, and the Jews Submitted by Reynald de Chatillon (Australia), Jun 25, 2020 at 01:24 The only Arabs mentioned in the Old Testament are the Midianites. These were camel nomads and, for a brief period (during the time of Gideon), were a serious threat to the Israelites. After Gideon defeated the Midianites, there is hardly any mention of any Arab tribes in the Old and New Testament. I'm not sure whether the Idumeans and Itureans could be really classified as Arabs.
