May be I did not make myself clear. I read old texts and try to understand what the author or authors is/are really saying. And yes Christian and Jewish theologies are miles ahead of Islamic theology and would be of no value in exploring Islam and LGBT.

Now, in the case of LBGT, whether men having sex other men is not the issue. I happen to believe in what Pierre Elliot Trudeau of Canada (See biography by Richard Gwyn: The Northern Magus) was quoted as saying with regard to sex between consenting adults: "There is no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nations" and I would add and no place for a God in the bedrooms of the nation either.

So that brings us back to Islam and: Men having sex with other men or women having sex with other women or even celibate LGBT and Islam .

Muhammad, in a Hadith, quotes Adam as saying that Allah planned his life 40 years (the Topos of 40) before he was created. This is the basis for the flawed Islamic doctrine of: Predestination or القضاء والقدر or al-Qada' wa al-Qadr. This really means that if a man has sex with another man it is because Allah planned it this way. So we can only blame Allah for "homosexuality" Do you get it so far? And how dare Allah asks his followers to inflict harm on other human beings when he, Allah that is, is the one who planned their lives and made them "homosexual."?

Then the same Allah tells us in the Qur'an that he ordered his gullible followers to inflict harm on "homosexuals"!

But again Muhammad and his God were poor theologians.
