The Qur'an is full of grammatical errors and errors is spelling of perfect Arabic words as well as mistakes in syntax, words that have no clear meaning and many loan words mostly from Syriac/Aramaic However, this is supposed to be a book of law and judgment and there is no place for mistakes in a book of "law" This is how the Islamic tradition dealt with this unique Quranic problem: 1. Q20:63 is the most celebrated grammatical mistake in the Qur'an. It says: ان هذان لساحران or Ina Hadhan la Sahiran However, this is a grammatical mistake because by the standards of Arabic grammar in the 3rd century of Islam we have an example of what is called the rule of "Ina and her sisters" or ان واخواتها and to make it very simple it goes as follows: the particle ان: تنصب المبتدا وترفع الخبر Now, the verse is corrected as: ان هذين لساحران or Ina Hadhayn la sahiran (or those two are magicians) Early on in the 9th century al-Tabari identified the problem and provided in his exegesis 9 different explanations but non made any sense Now, ahl al-Hadith or those that wrote al-Ahadith came to the rescue and we are told that 'Aisha blamed the scribes for such mistake هذا عمل الكتّاب أخطءوا في الكتاب This can be rendered as: This is the mistake of the scribes they made a mistake in the book (the Qur'an) But this did not solve the problem so ahl al-Hadith come to the rescue and tell us that Othman said: لاتغيروها فانّ العرب ستغيرها Do not correct it (the grammatical error) because the Arabs will change it Now enter Ibn Kathir (1300 AD) he tells us in his tafsir that Muslims should write it as: ان هذان لساحران (this is what you will find in the Qur'an) but recite it as ان هذين لساحران which is really delusional but he believed he solved the problem! et volia this is not a mistake in the book of Islamic D-Y-N
