Answer3 To DonReader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by Nazia (United States), Sep 26, 2005 at 00:53 Dear Don,Let me address your big argument first. I don't believe in any Hadith whatsoever and that answers many of your questions. Because Hadith are false lies attributed to Mohammed 300 years after his death to please the corrupt leaders of the time who wished to justify persecution of women as was common throughout history and in the East and West until the 60s revolution. Because not only do Hadith stand in absolute contradiction against the Quran, the final testament but, also they defy common human logic. While Quran is the word of God, as most of the old and New Testament (minus the false biblical versions of hadith that has been inserted by opportunist priests throughout history), Hadith is simply early medieval man's inventions that now some naïve Moslems take them as divine. Having clarified that let me answer your other questions: 1. Can you please refer me to the exact verse where Jesus is called the "Word of Allah"? 2. Bible Corruption: We may both believe that God does not lie or say nonsense. I will hereby quote some of the verses from the bible about women (by which Hadith Narrators were inspired) and ask you if they are the Almighty's words: No wickedness comes anywhere near the wickedness of a woman.....Sin began with a woman and thanks to her we all must die" (Ecclesiasticus 25:19,24) "The birth of a daughter is a loss" (Ecclesiasticus 22:3). Below Quraan refutes this in the strongest terms (confirms the corruptness of bible): Quran: When news is brought to one of them of the birth of a female child, his face darkens and he is filled with inward grief. With shame does he hide himself from his people because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain her on contempt or bury her in the dust? Ah! what an evil they decide on?" (16:59) More from the Bible on women: "I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare....while I was still searching but not finding, I found one upright man among a thousand but not one upright woman among them all" (Ecclesiastes 7:26-28). "If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel" (Deut. 22:22). If a man commits adultery with another man's wife both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death" (Lev. 20:10). A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I don't permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner" (I Timothy 2:11-14 As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." (I Corinthians 14:34-35 " To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills. He bestows female children to whomever He wills and bestows male children to whomever He wills" (42:49 "And their Lord answered them: Truly I will never cause to be lost the work of any of you, Be you a male or female, you are members one of another" Quran (3:195) "When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening. Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening" (Lev. 15:19-23 Quran(2:222] They ask you about menstruation: say, "It is harmful; you shall avoid sexual intercourse with the women during menstruation; do not approach them until they are rid of it. Once they are rid of it, you may have intercourse with them in the manner designed by GOD. GOD loves the repenters, and He loves those who are clean And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them and He has put love and mercy between your hearts: verily in that are signs for those who reflect" Quran(30:21). On women leaders in the Quran, Read the story of Belquees, the Queen of Sheba. See 27:22-44. She represented a democratic ruler who consulted with her people before making important decisions, See 27:29. She visited Solomon, talked to him, made decisions for herself and her people. "We narrate to you the most accurate history through the revelation of this Quran. Before this, you were totally unaware." 12:3 "In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess intelligence......" 12:111 and what is the history, a woman leader. Mohammed's wife, Aisha ruled an army. This is a historical fact.etc. There are two verses that the die-hard Islam bashers -usually a few ignorant converts or cunning priests and then people like you -cling onto to defame Islam and I have seen or heard of them being quoted out of context everywhere. Let me take them one by one. First Verse: 2: 229: "The divorced woman shall wait three menstruations before (marrying another man). It is not lawful for them to conceal what God creates in their wombs, if they believe in God and in the last day. In case of pregnancy, the husband wishes shall supersede the wife's wishes, if he wants to remarry her. The women have rights as well as obligations equitably. Thus the man's wishes prevail (in case of pregnancy). God is almighty and most wise." I think the above verse is quite self-explanatory. It follows another verse about divorce (1400 years ago, Islam allowed divorce for both man and woman– in Italy where the Mecca of Christians lie, divorce was not allowed well until the 1970s), but obviously for reasons that God is aware of in case of pregnancy, the law is different, because in my humble opinion, the bearer of child- the mother - is not the sole owner of the child, but also the father. Second Verse: The men are made responsible for the women and God has endowed them with certain qualities and has made them the bread-earners. The righteous women will cheerfully accept this arrangement, since it is God's commandment and honor (not cheat on them) their husbands in their absence. If you experience disloyalty from the women, you shall first talk to them, then deserting them in bed (separation) then (as a last alternative) beat them. If they obey you, you are not permitted to transgress them. God is most high and supreme. Here on the contrary God prohibits wife beating by applying a psychological approach. In other words, what would you do if you find your wife cheating on you? Most people in the US get physical immediately (read the myriad reports about domestic violence), but God tells you to follow the following approach if you find your wife cheating on you: Step One: talk to them, Step Two: don't share bed (or in modern terms, separate) and if she still wants to be with you and keeps sleeping with different other men, then you beat her (maybe so that she voluntarily separates/gets divorce)... I can quote you TENS of other verses that God says that both men and women are equal, but your priests ...fail to acknowledge them. On a different note, Quran not only guides you spiritually but also is a catalogue, a manual for people to lead happy lives, because God understands that by just pretending to love each other, the world will not be a better place so there are clear instructions covering almost all aspects of life.
